The most important when teaching is to enjoy

Many things are said when talking about techniques, approaches, strategies and a whole set of things that are important if you (teacher or not) want to do more beneficial the learning process, but the majority of the times, there is a concept that isn’t taken into account.

I am talking about the joy of being teacher. Yes, like that. Many people love their profession and work with good energy and doing their best everyday. Of course, I am not against it, but I disagree completely with the idea that many persons have about the job of teaching: there is no science when teaching, anyone who know a subject (or even a single topic) can teach without problem and with good results; and the most disagreeable: a teacher is useful once in life, after learning how to read, write and add up you won’t need a teacher in your life.

Everybody of us has heard about this in different contexts. But, maybe too many people (I hope a big amount) can realize the important role of teachers in society, and surely, will live with big Thanks in their mouths for those who were with them in the past and, why not, in the present.

In this way, we can say that we as teachers must believe in our job… not only because of the money (in many cases it is not enough) but also because of the joy of being a live-and-world changer. To know that the teacher is a God's gift on heart and to understand that this has a big responsibility, is the beginning of the restitution of teaching to the place it must be.

For that reason, teachers all over the world, be happy with your job, do your best every single class, don’t allow some clowns to imitate us and, especially, enjoy your profession.
